IMPORTANT: In order to travel to Mexico with an electronic authorization, please verify that the airline with you may travel is part of SAE scheme.

If for any reason the airline is not able to verify your electronic authorization during check-in, your boarding will not be authorized.

To apply for an Electronic Authorization, complete and submit an application form at: http://www.inm.gob.mx/index.php/page/Solicitud_de_Autorizacion_Electronica/en.html

It will be necessary to unblock your Web Browser pop-ups and to have installed Acrobat Reader software (Download it for free here)

Information provided must be correct and accurate. Your personal data must be provided as shown in your passport, because it will be verified in two times: at airline check-in desk before printing the boarding pass and at your arrival to Mexico by Immigration Officers. If the information does not match, and although the authorization has been granted, boarding will not be authorized or entry permit will not be granted.

Once the application has been submitted online, the response of the request is provided immediately. There are two possible responses:

• Authorization approved: You can travel to Mexico.
• Authorization denied: You cannot obtain an electronic authorization. To travel to Mexico you must obtain a visa at any Mexican consulate.

Electronic Authorization is valid for 30 days from the date of issue and only can be used for one trip to Mexico. We recommend you to submit your application closely to your trip’s date.

At your arrival, you must complete the Multiple Migratory Form (FMM) choosing your visit purpose: tourism, transit or business and provide it to the Immigration Officer with your printout of your SAE approval.
