The National Institute of Migration (INM), located at Homero 1832, Col. Los Morales Polanco, Alcaldía Miguel Hidalgo, P.O. Box 11510, Mexico City, is responsible for the personal data you provide us, which will be protected in accordance with the provisions of the General Act on the Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Regulated Entities, and other applicable regulations. What personal data is collected and for what purpose?

The personal data required online are:

Given name(s), surname(s), sex, date of birth, country of birth, nationality, CURP, RFC, passport, passport number, issuing country, date of issuance, expiry date and address. For foreigners it is not required to have a CURP or an RFC.

In addition to the personal data mentioned above, in the interview you must attend we will use the following biometric data: face image, fingerprints.

The personal data you provide as part of Viajero Confiable will be processed and stored by the Dirección General de Control y Verificación Migratoria [General Immigration Control and Verification Branch] for the purpose of obtaining membership, which allows for quick and easy entry into Mexico through automated kiosks located at participating airports.

Legal basis for the processing of personal data:

The INM processes the above-mentioned personal data in accordance with article 84 section IV of the Interior Regulations of the Ministry of the Interior, published on April 2, 2013, in the Official Gazette of the Federation; no. 20 section II, 35 and 37 of the Immigration Law, published on May 25, 2011, in the Official Gazette of the Federation; no. 3 section V, 78, 80, 81, 82 of the Guidelines for Immigration Actions and Procedures, published on November 8, 2012, in the Official Gazette of the Federation.

Treatment of personal data:

Please be advised that Viajero Confiable will not transfer personal data to other entities except that data that are necessary to meet information requirements of a competent authority and that are properly justified.

Where can I exercise the rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation and Opposition of personal data (ARCO rights)?

You may directly exercise your ARCO rights before the Transparency Unit of this Institute, located at Homero 1832, PB, Col. Los Morales Polanco, Alcaldía Miguel Hidalgo, P.O. Box 11510, Mexico City, or through the National Transparency Platform (http://www.plataformadetransparencia.org.mx).
