  • Digital Multiple Migratory Form (FMMd))

    The Digital Multiple Migratory Form ( FMMd ) is a migratory document that accredits the regular situation in the conditions of stay of a Visitor without Permission to Carry out Unpaid Activities, under the modalities of Tourism, Business or Others; Visitor with Permit to Perform Paid Activities and; Visitor for Humanitarian Reasons. It is also applicable to foreigners holding a Mexican Visa obtained for exchange or replacement for a Resident Card, issued by a Mexican Consular Office abroad.

    Important:
    • The National Institute of Migration will omit the physical issuance of the Multiple Migratory Form for those foreigners who enter Mexico by air.

    • If you enter by air, you will no longer have to fill out the Electronic Multiple Migratory Form ( FMMe ), nor the physical Multiple Migratory Form, since the INM offers all foreigners who enter Mexico by air the generation and download of the Form Digital Multiple Migration ( FMMd ), as a way to facilitate and expedite immigration procedures for entry into the country.

    • You will be able to download your FMMd during the period of stay granted by the Federal Migration Agent (AFM) in the immigration review filter, once you have entered the country, so you will not be able to do it in advance.

    • You must verify that the registration of admission made by the Migration Agent has been carried out correctly so that you can generate and download fu FMMd.

    • If you have a Temporary Resident, Temporary Student, Permanent Resident or Visitor Visa for Adoption Purposes, which has been issued by a Consular Office of Mexico, you must show it to the AFM in the entry filter so that you can be correctly documented to carry out the process.     • Remember that the FMMd does NOT apply to people of Mexican nationality.

  • Naturalization

    What is Naturalization?

    It is the process by which a citizen of a foreign country voluntarily acquires the nationality of a second country, obtaining the rights and obligations of that country.

    In Mexico, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) through the Nationality Directorate attached to the General Directorate of Legal Affairs, is the competent authority to receive, process and grant Mexican nationality by naturalization to foreigners, in accordance with articles 30, section B, section I of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States and 19, section I of the Nationality Law.

    Important:

    It is worth mentioning that the INM does not have the competence to receive or process the requests for the Naturalization process, its intervention is limited to issuing an opinion regarding the procedure at the request of the SRE in accordance with article 23 of the Nationality Law, so you must contact directly to the SRE or consult the information at: www.sre.gob.mx/tramites-y-servicios/nacionalidad-y-naturalizacion

    Foreigners who wish to obtain Mexican nationality by Naturalization must accredit and comply with the requirements established according to the modalities considered by the Nationality Law.

    Requirements

    1. Be of legal age and in use of their civil rights.

    2. Application for letter of naturalization (DNN-3).

    3. Temporary resident card, or permanent resident, with which the interested party accredits his regular stay in the country.

    4. Foreign birth certificate, duly legalized by the Mexican diplomatic or consular representative of the place of issuance or, where appropriate, apostilled by the competent authority, as well as translated into Spanish by an expert translator authorized by the Judiciary of any federal entity of the national territory .

    5. Valid passport or identity and travel document

    6. Letter that clearly indicates the number of exits and entries that have been made to and from the country in the term of two years prior to the presentation of the application.

    7. Proof of no criminal record issued by the competent authority at the federal and local level depending on the place of residence.

    8. Accredit through exams that you know how to speak Spanish, that you know the history of the country and that you are integrated into the national culture.

    9. Submit two identical, recent color photographs, passport size (4.5 x 3.5 cm.), with a white background, from the front, without glasses, bareheaded.

    10. Unique Population Registry Code (CURP).

    11. Original and copy of the proof of payment of corresponding rights.

    Modalities:
    • Naturalization by Residence.

    • Naturalization for having Mexican Children by Birth.

    • Naturalization for Being Originally from a Latin American Country or the Iberian Peninsula.

    • Naturalization for Having Provided Services or Performed Outstanding Works in Cultural, Social, Scientific, Technical, Artistic, Sports or Business Matters.

    • Naturalization for having contracted marriage with a Mexican man or woman.

    • Naturalization for being subject to parental authority or being an adoptive child of Mexicans

    • Naturalization for having been subject to parental authority or having been adopted by Mexicans.
