The documents (applications) for the procedures must be submitted in original only, and their annexes, in copy. If the interested party requires an acknowledgement of receipt, she/he must attach a copy for that purpose. (Article 15 A section I of the Administrative Procedure Federal Act).

Current official identification of the Mexican (passport, IFE/NE, professional license, military service card, consular registration, naturalization letter or Mexican birth certificate and valid driver's license) or valid temporary residence or permanent resident card. Original and copy. |

Demonstrate Family Relationship according to the following: |
a) Being the father or mother of a foreign person with temporary residence or temporary resident student: Birth certificate of the temporary resident or temporary resident student. Original and copy. |
b) Being the spouse of a Mexican, temporary resident, student temporary resident or permanent resident: Marriage certificate. Original and copy. |
c) Being a common-law spouse of a Mexican or foreign person with temporary residence, student temporary residence, or permanent residence: Document proving common-law relationship in accordance with civil law or document proving equivalent to common-law relationship granted by the competent authority of the country of origin or residence of the foreign person, stating that the interested party and the Mexican or temporary resident, temporary student or permanent resident have lived in common constantly and permanently for the corresponding period. d) Being the son of a temporary resident foreigner or temporary resident student: Birth certificate. As long as they are a girl, boy or adolescent and have not married, or are under their guardianship, conservatorship or custody. Original and copy. |
e) Being the son of the spouse or common-law spouse of a temporary resident or student temporary resident. As long as she is a girl, boy or adolescent and has not been married, or is under guardianship, conservatorship or custody of the spouse or common-law spouse: |
- Birth certificate of the minor and. Original and copy.

- Marriage certificate or the document that proves the concubinage of the father or mother with the foreign person. Original and copy.

f) Being a girl, boy or adolescent, whose parental authority, guardianship or curatorship is in charge of a temporary resident foreigner or temporary resident student: Document issued by the competent authority. Original and copy. |

Proof of payment of fees in the case of proving family relationship with a temporary resident, it will be in accordance with the period of time the foreign national is authorised to stay in the country. Original and copy. |

- Foreign public documents, with the exception of the passport or identity and travel document, must be apostilled or legalized and, where appropriate, accompanied by a translation into Spanish prepared by officially recognized experts as appropriate.
- The foreign person must appear personally before the immigration authority, to provide the photograph, signature and fingerprint data for the basic format and, where appropriate, for the issuance of the immigration document.
