The documents (applications) for the procedures must be submitted in original only, and their annexes, in copy. If the interested party requires an acknowledgement of receipt, she/he must attach a copy for that purpose. (Article 15 A section I of the Administrative Procedure Federal Act).

Guatemalan nationals and foreigners residing in that country must present the identity card, the personal identification document, the document that has replaced the previous ones, passport or identity and travel document, valid and current. Original and copy. |
- In the case of minors, a birth certificate must be presented, whose issue date is not older than six months. Original and copy.

Guatemalans who are minors or subject to legal guardianship not accompanied by both parents or guardians, must present permission from the parents or legal guardian granted before a notary public. Original and copy. |

Nationals from Belize must present a valid and current passport or identity and travel document. Permanent residents in that country must present a visa that accredits them as permanent residents. Original and copy. |

Belizeans under age, or subject to legal guardianship unaccompanied by both parents or guardians, must present permission from the parents or legal guardian containing certification from a Justice of the Peace. Original and copy. |

Important:
- Foreign public documents, with the exception of the passport or identity and travel document, must be apostilled or legalized and, where appropriate, accompanied by a translation into Spanish prepared by officially recognized experts as appropriate.
- The application is submitted in the points designated for the international land transit of persons in the states of Chiapas, Quintana Roo and Tabasco.
- The regional visitor's card is valid for 5 years and allows transit and stay in the states of Campeche, Chiapas, Tabasco, Quintana Roo and Yucatan for 7 calendar days during each entry.
- The persons who obtain the regional visitor's card must identify themselves with it, and enter and leave the national territory only through the land points authorized for the international transit of persons along the southern border of Mexico
- This regular immigration status does not allow paid activities.
- The regional visitor who wishes to enter beyond the authorized border region to carry out unpaid activities must obtain, after meeting the requirements, a visitor visa without permission to carry out paid activities.
- The immigration authority will interview the foreign person to provide biographical information and will collect through electronic means the information contained in the basic format, consisting of:
- Image of face
- Fingerprints of all five fingers (thumb, index, middle, ring, and little finger) of both hands
- Iris image
- Digital signature
